Hello everybody,

I started to post here in September and had several small successes with Blackjack. I received very good advice from a number of players, Bob Baker in particular.

I am now seeking employment and have subsequently decided to stop playing Blackjack. They say you have to afford to lose what you put in, and I can no longer afford to lose anything.

I had made a deposit for around $150 into Oddsmaker and wanted to withdraw it. Having not begun my play there, I assumed the process of withdrawing a deposit without bonus nor winnings would be simple.

On Tuesday 6th January I telephoned them to ask them to refund my credit card. All of the other casinos at which I have played have allowed me to do this, no question. I have a UK Mastercard.

It seems I had not read the T&C clearly - this was not an option. Only checks or silly vouchers were available.

Fine, fine - my fault. Living in England though the standard check would take time, and apparently cost $20 to process. What! Anyhow, frustrated immensely at this point, I decided to accept that loss and use the standard check option.

They would not process my withdrawal. I telephoned them, saying I had already provided all identification they had asked for. They told me I had to play through the amount of the deposit before any withdrawals would be accepted. EVEN for just the deposit.

What! again. Anyhow, indeed this was listed in the T&C, my fault. So I wagered $150 at Blackjack and by a stroke of luck, earned the $20 needed to process the check.

On Monday 12th January I went through the motions of withdrawal and it was accepted. Time suggested was 12-14 working days after "verification" - and goodness knows how much longer to England.

On Tuesday 13th January, I got a strange email from the Cashier. "We are trying to refund your card" wrote a lady named Janet. "We will keep you posted." Well, look at that - they had finally come around. I sent them a thank you email knowing that this would be faster than the check.

Two weeks later and today, Monday 26th January, I have had no confirmation about a) the credit card refund or 2) the check being sent out. I have provided all ID and completed wagering requirements. I do not mind in the slightest which method they use to pay me.

Sent a follow up email to them last Wednesday 21st January which was ignored. Telephoned their customer service today and was told again that the Cashier can only be contacted by email. They are "verifying" the withdrawal. But what is there to verify? They have everything.

We are talking about a refund of $150 or a withdrawal of $170 (minus their $20 paycheck). This is not big money for them, but to me it is important. I am paying interest on this money on my credit card.

I have today sent them a further email saying that I shall email them daily until I receive information about how and when they shall pay me.

Please help - what can I do if they do not respond? This has been ongoing for a very long and frustrating time.

Warm regards,

Samantha

I think you're doing the right thing, Samantha.  Just keep reminding them of your withdrawal, politely but firmly.  They are stalling because they're probably low on money.  And they probably have a lot of people who forget or just give up.  I know you won't do either of those.

Maybe Mac has some better ideas.  He plays there a lot.

Good luck.

Hello OBG,

Eight months later, we sit in August. Oddsmaker say my account "looks refunded, very strange". They shall "enquire again with the processor".

All google searches show them on blacklists. They are not represented on OBG.

Does anybody have any contacts there? I am still owed $170 and as a student, this is a lot for me.

Please help. Thank you so much.

Warm regards,

Samantha

Send me your username and amount they owe you.  I will look into it for you.  Just because a casino is not listed on OBG, I still have contacts at most casinos!
